From mid-May you can expect constant wind in Kalpitiya! The lodge was built by a German contractor and combines German engineering with local architecture. The boat shuttle takes you from the lodge to a small headland on the other side of the lagoon. There you will find a world class freestyle spot and ideal conditions for beginners. There is also a beach hut offering delicious snacks between sessions. Kalpitiya has a lot to offer off the water too. Take a trip to Anuradhapura, the oldest royal city in Sri Lanka. This historic site lies in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by monasteries and reservoirs.

The professional VDWS kite school, run by Stefan under German management, is located on the beautiful and spacious sandy beach of Mastichari on the island of Kos. Our long-time partners and friends at Ibi & Friends have discovered and opened up Seahorse Bay between Hurghada and El Gouna for kiters. There are three things about this great spot with a shallow water lagoon that we haven't found in Egypt before:
