Punta Chame is a peaceful, idyllic peninsula offering ideal kitesurfing conditions in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Here you live right on the spot, are woken by the wind in the morning and can go out on the water immediately after a delicious breakfast. On good days, the team stays out with you until sunset – the ultimate kitesurfing experience! In contrast to Brazil, Panama is even less known as a kitesurfing destination, but Punta Chame offers excellent conditions for beginners, advanced and freestylers from December to April. With wind conditions and water temperatures of 28°C and air temperatures of 31°C, it is the perfect place to escape the European winter. Our main kitespot in Punta Chame offers a large lagoon at low tide, which is particularly suitable for beginners and intermediates. At high tide, the water reaches the kite camp, where advanced kiters can start directly and take advantage of the ideal conditions for foiling and wing foiling. Just ten minutes away, on the other side of the peninsula, there is a swell that is ideal for surfing and offers even more variety.

Kalpitiya, a super shallow water lagoon spot for beginners and the freestyle kiters among you. You stay directly at the lagoon in the KiteWorldWide Lagoon Lodge with comfortable rooms and a swimming pool in the garden, where you can really get that holiday feeling under the palm trees! The kite season runs from May to October and December to March. Sri Lanka is the closest tropical kitesurfing destination and can be reached with numerous airlines, including the comfortable and affordable Golf Airlines such as Emirates and Turkish Airlines. Besides kitesurfing, there are a variety of activities and excursions that you can book directly at the KiteWorldWide Lodge with our team. During the summertime the swell gets a bit smaller but the wind picks up a lot more. You never have to worry about not having enough wind in Essaouira! Besides kitesurfing, Essaouira has a lot to offer from its beautiful Medina and the smell of spices and thuya wood, to that the sound of drums from the gorgeous souvenir shops and the hustle and bustle of the market… The Medina is full of colour and character! Some even say Essaouira is the most picture-perfect quaint medina in Morocco! Best of all, there are no cars at all to bother you! See you there!  

El Gouna is probably one of the most popular kite spots in the world. This man-made resort on the Red Sea is somehow different from all our other holiday destinations. It’s a bit artificial, a bit Egyptian, yet still authentic. Sounds strange? It is indeed, but in the best way! For many, El Gouna offers the ultimate kite life with a huge selection of nice hotels, lovely restaurants and bars, and all just a short distance away.  El Gouna attracts a lot of kitesurfers spread between several kite centres that provide the official launch spots. Some centres are designed for mass tourism, where others are smaller and have a higher demand.  It took us time to finally find what we wanted, and the Makani Beach Club offers the exclusivity and high quality we were looking for that is unique to El Gouna. Fuerteventura ticks so many boxes from a kiters perspective and is a perfect short-haul winter destination. We’re happy to have finally found a great partner right at the island’s best flat-water kite spot; welcome to Matas Bay!  Fuerteventura has a nice long wind season stretching from March through to the end of November, but you can also score some great days through the winter months of December & January. With an average temperature of 20 degrees and more than 20 kiteable days per month, it makes it a great winter escape. Matas Bay itself is an amazing flat water spot that doesn’t depend on the tide, meaning you can kite all day long! There are also numerous wave spots dotted around the island, making it an exciting destination for more advanced wave riders and kiters. The Canary Islands are blessed with plenty of natural beauty, spectacular landscapes and a thrilling range of activities. Fuerteventura has many spectacular places to visit including its natural pools or the Jurrasic period caves at Ajuy. Hike one of Fuerte’s many coastal trails or volcanic paths to stunning viewpoints, or surf some of the best waves in Europe. There’s also a zoo, sailing trips, scuba diving, jeep safaris, aqua parks or even wine tasting – we’re sure you won’t get bored!  

Kitesurfing in Dakhla and everything you need to know about the kitesurfing spots around Dakhla: With its mild year-round temperatures and reliable winds, the Dakhla Lagoon is a true paradise for kitesurfers. We discovered the northern, "small" lagoon of Dakhla more than nine years ago. We are starting the season with a newly renovated kite school with Core and North kite equipment and a new partner hotel. The vast lagoon with its butter-flat water is perfect for learning to kitesurf or practising freestyle tricks. The various kite spots offer plenty of space on the water for all skill levels. Of course, kite courses are also offered by certified and multilingual instructors – whether for beginners, advanced riders or special courses, for example for freestyle kiters. The result: a perfect kite destination for beginners, advanced riders and freestylers.

Kitesurfing in Dakhla and everything you need to know about the kitespots around Dakhla: Thanks to the pleasant temperatures throughout the year and the constant wind, the Dakhla lagoon is a kitesurfing paradise.  For more than 5 years we are at the northern, “small” lagoon of Dakhla. Action-packed years with lots of wind, fun and more and more kiters… With Jerome, the hotelier of the Tour d’Eole, we found a charming luxury accommodation for kiters on the eastern side of the big lagoon. From now on you can improve your kite level with us in an untouched, not overcrowded kite area with side onshore wind. With two shallow water spots right in front of the door, the Kitespot is ideal for learning kitesurfing or perfecting freestyle tricks. Since there is no other kite school in the immediate near, the kite spots offer more than enough space on the water. Of course, kite courses are also offered by certified and multilingual instructors – whether for beginners, intermediates or special courses, for example in wave kitesurfing. Not far from the African continent lies the Italian island of Sicily, with its warm and pleasant temperatures from March to October. Here there are two different weather systems with constant winds and a huge shallow water lagoon, which offers perfect conditions to learn kitesurfing. Like many other destinations, we offer great KiteWorldWide accommodation for KiteWorldWide guests only! Our modern and brightly furnished Casa Sicilia is located near the kite school, it has a large garden and you can hire bikes at any time. In addition to the Casa Sicilia, you also have the option of booking a room at the Hotel Santa Maria, you can't get any closer to the spot and the hotel also offers the only pool in the area. Our partner kite school has a great team of instructors who can teach you with new kite equipment or where you can rent brand new kite stuff. As an added highlight, you can enjoy a fresh pizza right on site after a long day on the water - a lovely ritual that everyone always looks forward to!

The Ocean Spirit Lodge is located in Burgau on the Portuguese Algarve – one of Europe’s most diverse coastlines for watersports enthusiasts. The region between Lagos and Sagres is known for its breathtaking scenery, laid-back atmosphere, and ideal conditions for kitesurfing, stand-up paddling, and surfing. If you're looking for an active and varied holiday that combines great service, nature experiences, and an international community, this is the perfect spot for you. A special highlight for kitesurfers is the flatwater lagoon of Alvor (about 30 minutes away, with shuttle service included in all kitesurf packages). The various spots in the lagoon offer excellent conditions for both beginners and advanced riders – with consistent wind and plenty of space to practice. At low tide, the lagoon is especially beginner-friendly, while high tide provides a fun challenge for more experienced kiters. Lessons are taught by VDWS-certified instructors and are available in several languages – including German, English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. The lodge itself is a charming and simply furnished surf house with a cozy, family-style hostel atmosphere. Kitesurf packages, SUP tours, and surf lessons can all be booked easily as part of a complete package. The surrounding area offers plenty of variety – from peaceful nature reserves and stunning coastal hikes to the vibrant nightlife of Burgau.

It only takes a day or two before you feel like you already know the friendly and hospitable people of Kos. The little fishing village of Mastichari is home to our kite spot and has a real local feel away from the mass tourism prevalent in other parts of the island. Kos is one of the only Greek islands where the conditions are great for both beginners as well as advanced kiters. Our VDWS licensed school sits on a wide sandy beach operated by Stefan, originally from Austria, who has spent his lifetime on the water. His team have developed their lesson structure to ensure a high level of safety with a maximum of two students per instructor. Using a unique coaching system via boat, they offer fast progression on the water as well as a lot of fun. Our Kite House is conveniently located just a few minutes from the kite spot and town so you can easily walk everywhere. The house has 8 separate studios, each with its own balcony giving you your own private space. Group bonding starts over breakfast in the Aplo restaurant before heading to the beach for a day of kiting, and often ends with a drink or two at the beach bar too. Our location is perfect for children to play on the wide sandy beach right in front of the kite spot, and our centre also offers windsurfing or stand up paddle lessons for them. The wind season is longer than you might imagine and runs all the way from May until the end of October. The weather remains warm and sunny throughout the whole season, perfect to sit out on the terraces of the local Greek tavernas enjoying the delicious food on offer. Located in the northern Germany, the sunny island of Fehmarn has some amazing kite spots in store for you. It's the perfect place for anyone who wants to learn to kite or for those who already love it and want to try something new with optimal conditions! Whether it's the flat water spots for beginners and freestylers or the spots with a wave for all advanced kitesurfers, everyone will find a spot here. The best thing is that Fehmarn, as an island, has a spot for every wind direction and is therefore always kiteable. It is no wonder that the headquarters of the company Core Kiteboarding is located here. The wind conditions are very constant and great for practising. The island is definitely worth a trip and, with its beautiful spots, also perfect for a weekend in your van with a lot of kiting.

Brazil is known for its strong and constant wind, but Tatajuba offers even more than the other kitesurfing areas around Brazil. Constant side onshore wind with 99% wind probability blows from July to February. In July, August and February, you can expect 17-23 knots in Tatajuba and only a few wind-free days. In high season you can also expect a few more knots in Tatajuba compared to other spots. Around 30 knots plus is the norm kitesurfers expect here! The small village of Tatajuba is located between Jericoacoara (Jeri for short) and Camocim, right at the mouth of a river. There are no tarmac roads in this village; you walk on fine sand, surrounded by palm trees, friendly locals and unique nature. Deep red sunsets and probably the strongest wind in Brazil await you, and anyone who knew and loved Cumbuco as a small, remote fishing village will more than appreciate this spot. The Tatajuba kitesurfing spot is a river mouth where the incoming and outgoing water creates a beautiful shallow water area ideal for freestyle or learning to kite. The open sea beyond is also great for beginners thanks to its vastness and the site's safe onshore wind. There is endless space here from the first few metres on the board, to cruising further or for practising new moves. Small kicker waves promise great fun on the directional surfboard. Tatajuba offers kiters endless possibilities. If you like, you can book a trip to a freshwater lagoon just 4 kilometres away, or discover the coast of Brazil on endless downwinders. Autumn is the most beautiful time of year to visit one of our northern neighbours, Denmark.   It’s never really that crowded on the waters of Denmark, but in autumn you may just have an absolute dream spot all to yourself. From September on, there is full-scale wind power in Denmark. When the autumn storms come in, there are perfect conditions for every level – for wave nuts in the North Sea or for the butter flat lovers you can hit up on elf the many Fjords.   The water temperatures in September are also absolutely spot on, after the summer sun has had chance to warm them up. Because we love this country so much, and it feels almost like our homespot, we were immediately involved when our partner Primesurf, with which we have already been working with very successfully in Cape Town, Sicily and Brazil, proposed an event in Denmark. Together with a team of VDWS-licensed trainers you will spend 6 days on the water so that you can be coached in a targeted manner and progress quickly.
