Your Kitespot for Kos - Kitesurfing in Marmari

The Meltemi wind funnels between the two islands north of Kos, accelerating the speed to often more than 6Bft in strength at Marmari North beach. However, due to erosion over recent years, there is unfortunately not much beach space here, and the water is very shallow for at least 50 metres. The spot in general can be quite busy, especially during the high season as there are three large hotel complexes close by.
A little further east of Marmari is a spot with similar conditions to North beach. This Salt Lake spot has a much wider beach and is usually quite empty with an amazing backdrop and friendly local flamingos!
