Punta ChamePanamaCentral America

Bed to Board Flatwater Lagoon
Punta Chame is a peaceful, idyllic peninsula offering ideal kitesurfing conditions in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Here you live right on the spot, are woken by the wind in the morning and can go out on the water immediately after a delicious breakfast. On good days, the team stays out with you until sunset – the ultimate kitesurfing experience! In contrast to Brazil, Panama is even less known as a kitesurfing destination, but Punta Chame offers excellent conditions for beginners, advanced and freestylers from December to April. With wind conditions and water temperatures of 28°C and air temperatures of 31°C, it is the perfect place to escape the European winter. Our main kitespot in Punta Chame offers a large lagoon at low tide, which is particularly suitable for beginners and intermediates. At high tide, the water reaches the kite camp, where advanced kiters can start directly and take advantage of the ideal conditions for foiling and wing foiling. Just ten minutes away, on the other side of the peninsula, there is a swell that is ideal for surfing and offers even more variety.

Seahorse BayEgyptAfrica

Beachside Hotel Bed to Board Flatwater
Seahorse Bay is located between Hurghada and El Gouna and offers the perfect conditions for kitesurfers. We discovered Ibi & Friends’ amazing Kite Club many years ago and due to their unique setup not seen anywhere else in Egypt, we partnered with them to bring you the ultimate experience. Seahorse Bay offers three unique elements to your holiday:  1. Accommodation right at the spot and kite school area: you have the choice between three different accommodation options with just a five minutes walk from the new kite centre. No more missing out on wind because of tuk-tuk rides or late buses here! 2. Limited guests at our kite school allowing for more space: the reduced numbers of kitesurfers, students and equipment storage means you’ll always have enough space for launching and landing.  3. Kiting at low tide: most spots in Egypt are affected by low tide, but experienced kitesurfers can still ride at Seahorse Bay even when the water runs low thanks to the ‘pool’ in the ocean. At Seahorse Bay we offer a special ‘no-worries package’ where everything is included. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner, advanced or even a non-kiter as our packages have everything you need covered.

EssaouiraMoroccoAfrica

Foiling SUP VWDS
Marhaba (welcome!) to the Bianca Guest House Riad and its unique Morrocan atmosphere. Our Essaouira destination offers a culturally rich kitesurfing holiday experience that’s different to the more usual short-haul trips from Europe. It’s perfect for anyone who’d like to experience something different. Famously, Jimi Hendrix partied it up in Essaouira and was inspired to write ‘Castle made of Sand’, and the area is also historically known for surfing. The epic wave spot ‘Moulay’ became popular when an old windsurfing movie disclosed its Morrocan secret, and the first-ever kitesurfing competition is also said to have taken place on the Essaouira beach in 1997. Rumour has it that even Pete Cabrinha and the Wipikas were there too! We have a full set up in Essaouira for you with various packages on offer where you’ll get to live together with other guests in laid back Morrocan style. We even have a KiteWorldWide Guide on site for you to relax and enjoy all that’s on offer without needing to worry. In Essaouira, you’ll be rewarded with reliable wind, an unbelievably long sandy beach without any obstacles or rocks, and an awesome kitesurf school with its friendly team. On top of that, you’ll be able to visit around half a dozen other spots for varying abilities all within 30 minutes. Experience Mediterranean-Arabian flair, great food and excellent accommodation all at affordable prices. In the winter season, Essaouira becomes a wave paradise for kite surfers with a bit of experience, and there’s a 100-150m waist-deep area just before the swell. During the summertime the swell gets a bit smaller but the wind picks up a lot more. You never have to worry about not having enough wind in Essaouira! Besides kitesurfing, Essaouira has a lot to offer from its beautiful Medina and the smell of spices and thuya wood, to that the sound of drums from the gorgeous souvenir shops and the hustle and bustle of the market… The Medina is full of colour and character! Some even say Essaouira is the most picture-perfect quaint medina in Morocco! Best of all, there are no cars at all to bother you! See you there!

El Gouna/Makani BeachEgyptAfrica

Flatwater Lagoon Shallow Water
El Gouna is probably one of the most popular kite spots in the world. This man-made resort on the Red Sea is somehow different from all our other holiday destinations. It’s a bit artificial, a bit Egyptian, yet still authentic. Sounds strange? It is indeed, but in the best way! For many, El Gouna offers the ultimate kite life with a huge selection of nice hotels, lovely restaurants and bars, and all just a short distance away.  El Gouna attracts a lot of kitesurfers spread between several kite centres that provide the official launch spots. Some centres are designed for mass tourism, where others are smaller and have a higher demand.  It took us time to finally find what we wanted, and the Makani Beach Club offers the exclusivity and high quality we were looking for that is unique to El Gouna. If you’re new to kitesurfing and want to learn in a nice area suitable for your needs, then El Gouna is a great option. You can find more beginner information on our kitesurfing learning page. Allow us to introduce you to El Gouna and the kite trips and hotels we recommend!

FuerteventuraSpainEurope

Flatwater SUP Wave
Fuerteventura ticks so many boxes from a kiters perspective and is a perfect short-haul winter destination. We’re happy to have finally found a great partner right at the island’s best flat-water kite spot; welcome to Matas Bay!  Fuerteventura has a nice long wind season stretching from March through to the end of November, but you can also score some great days through the winter months of December & January. With an average temperature of 20 degrees and more than 20 kiteable days per month, it makes it a great winter escape. Matas Bay itself is an amazing flat water spot that doesn’t depend on the tide, meaning you can kite all day long! There are also numerous wave spots dotted around the island, making it an exciting destination for more advanced wave riders and kiters. The Canary Islands are blessed with plenty of natural beauty, spectacular landscapes and a thrilling range of activities. Fuerteventura has many spectacular places to visit including its natural pools or the Jurrasic period caves at Ajuy. Hike one of Fuerte’s many coastal trails or volcanic paths to stunning viewpoints, or surf some of the best waves in Europe. There’s also a zoo, sailing trips, scuba diving, jeep safaris, aqua parks or even wine tasting – we’re sure you won’t get bored!

Here are some tips for kitesurfing beginners:

Anyone can learn to kitesurf- it's a sport that is accessible to almost everyone. It doesn't matter how old you are, what gender you are or what physical condition you are in. Here are some reasons why kitesurfing can be learned by anyone and why learning to kitesurf on holiday is the most fun:

Learn to kitesurf on holiday:The best way to learn to kitesurf is on a kitesurfing holiday, because there you have the necessary peace and time to take a kitesurfing course. Far away from the stress of everyday life, our licensed kite instructors teach you everything you need to know about kitesurfing.

Unlike some other water sports, kitesurfing does not require exceptional physical fitness. Of course, a certain basic level of fitness helps, but most people can develop the necessary strength and stamina over the course of training.
Step by step to kite success: Kitesurfing can be learned step by step. Beginners usually start with a small trainer kite before moving on to larger kites.

At KiteWorldWide, the community is in the foreground: right from the start of your kite trip, you are accepted into our kite community. Even if you are travelling alone, you will have direct contact with other kitesurfers. Beginners can learn from experienced kitesurfers and at the latest at dinner there is no other topic of conversation.

Fun and "addictive": Once you have mastered the basics of kitesurfing, it becomes an incomparable adventure. The feeling of gliding on the water and using the wind is incredibly satisfying and addictive.
