TatajubaBrazilSouth America

Bed to Board Flatwater Lagoon
Brazil is known for its strong and constant wind, but Tatajuba offers even more than the other kitesurfing areas around Brazil. Constant side onshore wind with 99% wind probability blows from July to February. In July, August and February, you can expect 17-23 knots in Tatajuba and only a few wind-free days. In high season you can also expect a few more knots in Tatajuba compared to other spots. Around 30 knots plus is the norm kitesurfers expect here! The small village of Tatajuba is located between Jericoacoara (Jeri for short) and Camocim, right at the mouth of a river. There are no tarmac roads in this village; you walk on fine sand, surrounded by palm trees, friendly locals and unique nature. Deep red sunsets and probably the strongest wind in Brazil await you, and anyone who knew and loved Cumbuco as a small, remote fishing village will more than appreciate this spot. The Tatajuba kitesurfing spot is a river mouth where the incoming and outgoing water creates a beautiful shallow water area ideal for freestyle or learning to kite. The open sea beyond is also great for beginners thanks to its vastness and the site's safe onshore wind. There is endless space here from the first few metres on the board, to cruising further or for practising new moves. Small kicker waves promise great fun on the directional surfboard. Tatajuba offers kiters endless possibilities. If you like, you can book a trip to a freshwater lagoon just 4 kilometres away, or discover the coast of Brazil on endless downwinders. Our beach buggy tours are a must and you can easily get to nearby Jericoacoara for shopping or partying!

KosGreeceEurope

Foiling SUP VWDS
It only takes a day or two before you feel like you already know the friendly and hospitable people of Kos. The little fishing village of Mastichari is home to our kite spot and has a real local feel away from the mass tourism prevalent in other parts of the island. Kos is one of the only Greek islands where the conditions are great for both beginners as well as advanced kiters. Our VDWS licensed school sits on a wide sandy beach operated by Stefan, originally from Austria, who has spent his lifetime on the water. His team have developed their lesson structure to ensure a high level of safety with a maximum of two students per instructor. Using a unique coaching system via boat, they offer fast progression on the water as well as a lot of fun. Our Kite House is conveniently located just a few minutes from the kite spot and town so you can easily walk everywhere. The house has 8 separate studios, each with its own balcony giving you your own private space. Group bonding starts over breakfast in the Aplo restaurant before heading to the beach for a day of kiting, and often ends with a drink or two at the beach bar too. Our location is perfect for children to play on the wide sandy beach right in front of the kite spot, and our centre also offers windsurfing or stand up paddle lessons for them. The wind season is longer than you might imagine and runs all the way from May until the end of October. The weather remains warm and sunny throughout the whole season, perfect to sit out on the terraces of the local Greek tavernas enjoying the delicious food on offer. As for all of our destinations, we have our own KiteWorldWide guide on-site happy to show you the best restaurants, kite spots and other sights in Mastichari. Cheap flights depart several days per week. The Kite House is just a short 20-minute transfer from the airport.

SalCape VerdeAfrica

Nightlife VWDS Wave
Not available for booking in the 2025/26 season. Our sales team will be happy to advise you on suitable alternatives. At the moment, we can offer you Panama, Sri Lanka or Egypt as great alternatives, for example. Sal is an island with unlimited kitesurfing possibilities and home to 4xVice World Champ Mitu Monteiro. From late October to May, Cape Verde is the perfect winter getaway for those who want wind, warm temperatures and a short flight time. At the KiteWorldWide Kitehouse you will experience the unique flair of Cape Verde together with other kite maniacs. Great weather all year round and wind from late October to May are a good start. There is something for everyone in terms of kitesurfing spots on Sal: The Kite Beach with side-onshore wind and small wind waves for intermediate and advanced kitesurfers. Due to the depth of the water, Sal is not an ideal spot for beginners with shallow water, but if you have learned kitesurfing here, you can do it at any spot in the world. That’s why we’ve put together a wide range of courses matching everyone’s needs and level. For the cracks there are world class wave kitespots, especially the wave at the beach of Ponta Preta, which is famous through countless videos.   We have also arranged an array of other activities for you to meet other kiters and get a feel for real life in Cape Verde. On one evening a week you’ll have a great beach BBQ or a community dinner in one of the typical cape verde beach restaurants. To round up the holiday there are economic and sporting equipment-friendly flights. In just six hours, you´ll be at the very heart of the world of wave kitesurfing.

El Gouna/Makani BeachEgyptAfrica

Flatwater Lagoon Shallow Water
El Gouna is probably one of the most popular kite spots in the world. This man-made resort on the Red Sea is somehow different from all our other holiday destinations. It’s a bit artificial, a bit Egyptian, yet still authentic. Sounds strange? It is indeed, but in the best way! For many, El Gouna offers the ultimate kite life with a huge selection of nice hotels, lovely restaurants and bars, and all just a short distance away.  El Gouna attracts a lot of kitesurfers spread between several kite centres that provide the official launch spots. Some centres are designed for mass tourism, where others are smaller and have a higher demand.  It took us time to finally find what we wanted, and the Makani Beach Club offers the exclusivity and high quality we were looking for that is unique to El Gouna. If you’re new to kitesurfing and want to learn in a nice area suitable for your needs, then El Gouna is a great option. You can find more beginner information on our kitesurfing learning page. Allow us to introduce you to El Gouna and the kite trips and hotels we recommend!

Seahorse BayEgyptAfrica

Beachside Hotel Bed to Board Flatwater
Seahorse Bay is located between Hurghada and El Gouna and offers the perfect conditions for kitesurfers. We discovered Ibi & Friends’ amazing Kite Club many years ago and due to their unique setup not seen anywhere else in Egypt, we partnered with them to bring you the ultimate experience. Seahorse Bay offers three unique elements to your holiday:  1. Accommodation right at the spot and kite school area: you have the choice between three different accommodation options with just a five minutes walk from the new kite centre. No more missing out on wind because of tuk-tuk rides or late buses here! 2. Limited guests at our kite school allowing for more space: the reduced numbers of kitesurfers, students and equipment storage means you’ll always have enough space for launching and landing.  3. Kiting at low tide: most spots in Egypt are affected by low tide, but experienced kitesurfers can still ride at Seahorse Bay even when the water runs low thanks to the ‘pool’ in the ocean. At Seahorse Bay we offer a special ‘no-worries package’ where everything is included. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner, advanced or even a non-kiter as our packages have everything you need covered.

You don't know what to book? We do!

Here are some tips for kitesurfing beginners:

Anyone can learn to kitesurf- it's a sport that is accessible to almost everyone. It doesn't matter how old you are, what gender you are or what physical condition you are in. Here are some reasons why kitesurfing can be learned by anyone and why learning to kitesurf on holiday is the most fun:

Learn to kitesurf on holiday:The best way to learn to kitesurf is on a kitesurfing holiday, because there you have the necessary peace and time to take a kitesurfing course. Far away from the stress of everyday life, our licensed kite instructors teach you everything you need to know about kitesurfing.

Unlike some other water sports, kitesurfing does not require exceptional physical fitness. Of course, a certain basic level of fitness helps, but most people can develop the necessary strength and stamina over the course of training.
Step by step to kite success: Kitesurfing can be learned step by step. Beginners usually start with a small trainer kite before moving on to larger kites.

At KiteWorldWide, the community is in the foreground: right from the start of your kite trip, you are accepted into our kite community. Even if you are travelling alone, you will have direct contact with other kitesurfers. Beginners can learn from experienced kitesurfers and at the latest at dinner there is no other topic of conversation.

Fun and "addictive": Once you have mastered the basics of kitesurfing, it becomes an incomparable adventure. The feeling of gliding on the water and using the wind is incredibly satisfying and addictive.
