It only takes a day or two before you feel like you already know the friendly and hospitable people of Kos. The little fishing village of Mastichari is home to our kite spot and has a real local feel away from the mass tourism prevalent in other parts of the island. Kos is one of the only Greek islands where the conditions are great for both beginners as well as advanced kiters. Our VDWS licensed school sits on a wide sandy beach operated by Stefan, originally from Austria, who has spent his lifetime on the water. His team have developed their lesson structure to ensure a high level of safety with a maximum of two students per instructor. Using a unique coaching system via boat, they offer fast progression on the water as well as a lot of fun. Our Kite House is conveniently located just a few minutes from the kite spot and town so you can easily walk everywhere. The house has 8 separate studios, each with its own balcony giving you your own private space. Group bonding starts over breakfast in the Aplo restaurant before heading to the beach for a day of kiting, and often ends with a drink or two at the beach bar too. Our location is perfect for children to play on the wide sandy beach right in front of the kite spot, and our centre also offers windsurfing or stand up paddle lessons for them. The wind season is longer than you might imagine and runs all the way from May until the end of October. The weather remains warm and sunny throughout the whole season, perfect to sit out on the terraces of the local Greek tavernas enjoying the delicious food on offer. Cheap flights depart several days per week. The Kite House is just a short 20-minute transfer from the airport.

Our new kitesurfing destination for summer 2026 is located on Rhodes, more precisely in Theologos, a quiet coastal village on the west side of the island that combines long beaches, constant wind and relaxed island life. Right by the sea, you can experience the typical KiteWorldWide feeling – shared sessions on the water, conversations in the shade after kiting and sundowners with a view of the horizon. Rhodes is a versatile island for a kitesurfing holiday in Greece. Around Theologos, beginners, intermediate and advanced kitesurfers will find excellent conditions, with the season lasting from May to October. Sunny weather, reliable wind and short distances make this spot ideal for enjoying time on the water and relaxing away from it. The destination is suitable for both kiters and travellers with non-kitesurfing companions. The wide beach is perfect for swimming, relaxing and watching, while the centre offers windsurfing and wing foiling in addition to kitesurfing. Not far from the African continent lies the Italian island of Sicily, with its warm and pleasant temperatures from March to October. Here there are two different weather systems with constant winds and a huge shallow water lagoon, which offers perfect conditions to learn kitesurfing. Our modern and brightly furnished Casa Sicilia is located near the kite school, it has a large garden and you can hire bikes at any time. Our partner kite school has a great team of instructors who can teach you with new kite equipment or where you can rent brand new kite stuff. Fuerteventura ticks so many boxes from a kiters perspective and is a perfect short-haul winter destination. We’re happy to have finally found a great partner right at the island’s best flat-water kite spot; welcome to Matas Bay! Fuerteventura has a nice long wind season stretching from March through to the end of November, but you can also score some great days through the winter months of December & January. With an average temperature of 20 degrees and more than 20 kiteable days per month, it makes it a great winter escape. Matas Bay itself is an amazing flat water spot that doesn’t depend on the tide, meaning you can kite all day long! There are also numerous wave spots dotted around the island, making it an exciting destination for more advanced wave riders and kiters. The Canary Islands are blessed with plenty of natural beauty, spectacular landscapes and a thrilling range of activities. Fuerteventura has many spectacular places to visit including its natural pools or the Jurrasic period caves at Ajuy. Hike one of Fuerte’s many coastal trails or volcanic paths to stunning viewpoints, or surf some of the best waves in Europe. Anyone can learn to kitesurf- it's a sport that is accessible to almost everyone. It doesn't matter how old you are, what gender you are or what physical condition you are in. Here are some reasons why kitesurfing can be learned by anyone and why learning to kitesurf on holiday is the most fun:Learn to kitesurf on holiday:The best way to learn to kitesurf is on a kitesurfing holiday, because there you have the necessary peace and time to take a kitesurfing course. Far away from the stress of everyday life, our licensed kite instructors teach you everything you need to know about kitesurfing.
Unlike some other water sports, kitesurfing does not require exceptional physical fitness. Of course, a certain basic level of fitness helps, but most people can develop the necessary strength and stamina over the course of training.
Step by step to kite success: Kitesurfing can be learned step by step. Beginners usually start with a small trainer kite before moving on to larger kites.
At KiteWorldWide, the community is in the foreground: right from the start of your kite trip, you are accepted into our kite community. Even if you are travelling alone, you will have direct contact with other kitesurfers. Beginners can learn from experienced kitesurfers and at the latest at dinner there is no other topic of conversation.
Fun and "addictive": Once you have mastered the basics of kitesurfing, it becomes an incomparable adventure. The feeling of gliding on the water and using the wind is incredibly satisfying and addictive.
