Dakhla sits in southern Morocco on the edge of the Sahara – and is one of the world’s best kitespots. On the beautiful, expansive sandy beach of Mastichari on Kos sits a professional VDWS kite school run by Stefan under German management. A unique, especially safe training system was developed here, combining professional boat coaching with semi-private lessons in small groups of max two students. This ensures maximum progression and fun!

The quiet village offers numerous small tavernas, typical restaurants, and very welcoming locals. Just a short walk from the kitespot and even closer to the center, we’ve arranged accommodation in the typical KiteWorldWide style. Some places stick with you instantly. Theologos on Rhodes is one of them. The Meltemi blows reliably side-onshore from May to October – often light in the morning, then a steady 15 to 25 knots from midday. Beginners, improvers, and advanced riders all get their money’s worth – and if you want to broaden your horizons, you can also try wingfoiling or windsurfing on site.

The hotel is just a short walk from the spot and the pool is perfect for unwinding after your kite session.

Our accommodation, the Bianca Guest House Riad, is a typical Moroccan house. From the outside it may look like a regular home in one of Essaouira’s countless alleys. Fehmarn is practically on your doorstep and ideal if you want to skip flying and kite in home waters. The island offers a wide variety of spots, from large standing areas and small waves to deep water for foiling. From your base at the Makani Kitehouse in Lemkenhafen you can walk to the nearest spot.
