Greece: Rhodes
Kitesurfing in JulySome places stick with you instantly. Theologos on Rhodes is one of them. The Meltemi blows reliably side-onshore from May to October – often light in the morning, then steady 15 to 25 knots from midday. Beginners, improvers, and advanced riders all get their money’s worth – and if you want to mix it up, you can also try wingfoiling or windsurfing on site.
Our partner school is the Surfing Bird Kite & Windsurf Center: IKO-certified, relaxed vibe, quality gear, and a team that always keeps an eye on the water.
The hotel is only a short walk from the spot, and the pool invites you to unwind after your session.
But Rhodes is far more than a kitespot. The Valley of the Butterflies is 20 minutes away, the medieval old town of Rhodes is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the west coast serves sunsets worth the trip alone.
- Wind: Meltemi, 15–25 knots, side-onshore from the southwest
- Short transfer: Rhodes Airport, only about 5 km away
- Kiteschool: Surfing Bird Kite & Windsurf Center (IKO-certified)
- Suitable for: beginners, improvers, advanced – and non-kiters
