Our kitespot in Egypt, right at the Kiteclub Seahorse Bay between Hurghada and El Gouna, offers perfect conditions for all kiters and your kite holiday. We discovered the beautiful, family-run Kiteclub by Ibi & Friends in Seahorse Bay many years ago and are still excited about its unique concept. Together with our partners, we offer you an ideal kite experience with many special touches.
Seahorse Bay offers three unique elements for your holiday:
1. Accommodation and kite school right on the spot—straight from bed to board: In our exclusive partner hotel, the Kiteclub Seahorse Bay, you even stay directly above the kite school, and you can choose between three different accommodations. Whether you’re traveling solo, with family, or with a non-kiting companion, we have the right option for you.
2. Limited number of guests at the kite school: The maximum of 25 kiters means you’ll always have plenty of space for launching, landing, and on the water. A truly exclusive kitespot in Seahorse Bay, Egypt.
3. The kitespot is tide-dependent; depending on the tide, the spot changes in size and space for kiting. Experienced kiters can also ride farther out in the open sea at low tide.

Kitespot & kite school
Thanks to the large flatwater bay, huge standing area, and stable northerly winds, the spot is perfect for beginners. At the kite school we limit the number of kiters so there’s enough space for everyone.
Seahorse Bay, with its large standing area, has mostly sandy ground and an average 70% wind yield per year—ideal conditions for unforgettable kite sessions. Due to shells, stones, and coral in the water, we recommend wearing neoprene shoes.
Experienced kiters can ride in deeper water regardless of the tides.
KITE SCHOOL
The Kiteclub Seahorse Bay offers kitesurf lessons with our experienced VDWS-licensed instructors, kite rental, equipment storage, launch and landing assistance, a compressor right on the spot, and a large professional beach service team.
The Kite Club sits on a private plot of about 1400 m² along the bay and is only 150 meters from the launch and landing area. Together with the kite villa there is a lovingly designed garden. Here you’ll find showers as well as comfy sunbeds and seating—perfect for relaxing between or after sessions.

KITESURF COURSES & EQUIPMENT
The club’s professional trainer team teaches in English or German. All instructors are licensed and teach in small groups of max. 4 people to ensure fast progress.
You can also obtain your VDWS kite license right after the course, confirming your level and allowing you to rent gear worldwide.
We offer courses for advanced kiters who want to improve technique and reach the next (VDWS) level.
For equipment we have kites from Core and boards from Core, North, and SU2, so you can ride with the perfect setup.
KiteWorldWide kitesurf packages at Seahorse Bay
As in many other KiteWorldWide destinations, we offer you in Egypt a worry-free package for maximum holiday fun—without hidden costs.
Advanced riders and intermediates traveling with their own gear, or non-kiters, can choose the base package and receive the same services included in the course packages, excluding lessons and gear rental.
Note: Due to reduced package prices, there is no refund for rental or lessons in unsuitable wind conditions (too much or too little wind).

At Seahorse Bay you can choose between three different accommodation options. Either stay at the Kiteclub right on the spot or choose one of the other lodgings just a short walk from the Kite Club. Whether you prefer half board, full board, or all-inclusive, we always offer “bed to board”.
If the Kiteclub is fully booked or you prefer, we can accommodate you in the cozy Seahorse Bay Pension across the street.
Another option for all kite lovers is the Golden Beach Resort. This all-inclusive hotel is only five minutes’ walk from the Kiteclub and, with its large pool area and sports facilities, is especially suitable for families with children and non-kiters.
Half board is included in your Kite Club package. Breakfast features a wide selection of drinks, breads, eggs in various styles, yogurts, fruit salads, cornflakes, spreads, cheeses, and cold cuts prepared fresh daily by our kitchen team.
Dinner offers a choice of three main courses with various starters and desserts. You can order wine and beer at the Kiteclub; we recommend bringing other alcohol from the airport duty-free shop.
All guests staying at the Seahorse Bay Pension enjoy a tasty breakfast in the morning, which you can have on the sea-view terrace. Dinner within the booked half board is (depending on guest numbers) a small buffet or a delicious 3-course menu.
At the Golden Beach Resort you’re fully catered and don’t have to worry about a thing!
TRIP TO HURGHADA
Together with a local, you’ll head to Hurghada and explore the old town. There you can hunt for bargains at a bazaar and taste local delicacies. To round off the evening, enjoy a few drinks at a cocktail bar with live music.
BBQ & CAMPFIRE NIGHT
Once a week the Kiteclub hosts an “Oriental Night”. We fire up the grill and the campfire to chill and feast in the garden while chatting about the latest kites and tricks. Afterwards, a shisha awaits in the oriental corner as we get in the mood for the coming days.
SUP
Stand-up paddling has been the fitness trend of recent years. Whether you’re watching big-wave surfers in Hawaii or heading to your local flatwater river, SUPs are everywhere. We have four SUP sets at the Kite Club for you to use anytime.
DIVING
The Red Sea is also known for its beautiful diving areas and offers the possibility to experience astonishing diving or snorkeling day trips. Diving excursions as well as lessons are available at the diving school, which is only five minutes away. It has its own diving boats starting right in front of the Calimera.
QUAD BIKING TOURS
With a bunch of horsepower under your buttocks and in small groups including a local guide you will be cruising through the desert of Egypt. It is up to you whether you want to gently cruise around and enjoy the beautiful landscape or taking those machines to top speed drifting through the soft sand.
EXCURSION TO LUXOR OR CAIRO
Day trips to Luxor and its ‘Valley of the Kings and Thebes’ or to Cairo are recommended and totally worth the drive. You should just keep in mind that those excursions will take a whole day so you might want to check the wind prior to the booking.

Everything you need to know for your next holiday in Egypt
You can obtain a visa at the Egyptian airport for €28, where the fee is paid to the authorities. Your transfer driver will assist you if you have further questions.
As a European resident, you need a passport valid for at least six more months.

On arrival, Egypt Sun Tours will pick you up and take you straight to Seahorse Bay. We have plenty of space for your kite gear, and unlike other providers, there’s no extra charge.
The Ibi & Friends team will be waiting for you at the Kite Club regardless of your arrival time.
You can pay in the kite club with euros (no credit cards). Outside the kite club, you can also pay in Egyptian pounds or with Visa/Mastercard.
Since you have half board at the kite club, you’ll need about €10–20 extra per day for lunch and drinks at the small bar in the kite club.
The power sockets match the European plug type (230 V).
Free Wi-Fi is available in and around the main house. The internet is rather slow, so we recommend buying a SIM card with data on arrival at the airport.
