"The hospitality on Kos, the traditional charm of Mastichari, and the variety of kite spots make the island special for me. Whether a freestyle session, wave kiting, or a spin on the wing foil, everyone has fun on the water here on Kos. And after a long day of kiting, I look forward to a cold beer at sunset on the beach with friends."Kite spot & kite school
Our main kitesurf spot on Kos is in the bay of Mastichari. This spot offers ideal training grounds for beginners and improvers with sideshore and onshore conditions in northerly (Meltemi) and westerly (thermal) winds. Kitesurfing & Greek island vibes in Mastichari
When the wind blows from the northwest and the offshore island shelters Mastichari, we move with our mobile kite station in just 20 minutes to Marmari on the northwest coast. Thanks to its location, the Meltemi in Marmari is intensified by a venturi effect with the offshore islets and arrives onshore. Here you get an optimal combo for your kite holiday in Greece, kitesurfing & Greek island vibes in Mastichari!
This unique combo of two kite spots lets us use all prevailing wind directions to maximize wind potential.
Kite school
The VDWS-licensed school, run by Stefan and Joe, is just 5 minutes from the KiteWorldWide house. The professional coaching team teaches in German and English and offers the option to obtain a VDWS kite license after the course. Advanced riders can refine technique and reach the next VDWS level.
Wingfoiling and windsurfing: besides kiting, Kos also offers perfect conditions for wingfoiling and windsurfing. Whether you’re just starting out or already confident on the water – with our wide range of wing and windsurf gear you’re well equipped for any level and wind strength.
Lessons & equipment
Stefan and team teach in small groups of max two students per instructor for high safety. With boat-supported coaching you progress fast and have plenty of fun. The upwind taxi takes you out in onshore wind so you can focus on practice without worrying about losing ground.
The school is equipped with the latest Cabrinha kites and SU2 boards.
