Rhodes: Kitesurfing & Greek island vibes in Theologos
Our new kite travel destination for summer 2026 is on Rhodes, more precisely in Theologos, a quiet coastal village on the island’s west side that combines long beaches, steady wind, and relaxed island life. Right by the sea, you’ll find that typical KiteWorldWide feeling – shared sessions on the water, chats in the shade after kiting, and sundowners with a view to the horizon.
Rhodes is a versatile island for a kitesurf holiday in Greece. Around Theologos, beginners, intermediates, and advanced riders will find great conditions, with the season running from May to October. Sunny weather, reliable wind, and short distances make the spot ideal for enjoying time on and off the water at a chilled pace.
Theologos is not only a dream spot for kitesurfing – wingfoilers and windsurfers also find ideal conditions here. The steady wind and the wide bay are perfect for first attempts or, if you’re advanced, to work on new tricks.
This destination suits both kiters and travelers with non-kiting companions. The wide beach invites you to swim, relax, and watch, while the center offers windsurfing and wingfoiling alongside kitesurfing.

Nikolas, Kite center manager
"The steady wind, short distances, and relaxed vibe in Theologos make Rhodes special for me. Whether kitesurfing or wingfoiling – heading straight onto the water right outside the door is simply perfect. And after a long day, I love watching the sunset together and winding down the evening in a laid-back way."Kite spot & kite school
Kite spot
On Rhodes there’s a central kite spot – right on your doorstep. The spot in Theologos sits directly in front of the kite school and offers short distances, smooth processes, and maximum time on the water. The steady winds on the west coast deliver reliable conditions for beginners, improvers, and advanced riders alike. Thanks to the open coastline there’s plenty of space on the water, while the wide beach offers room to launch, land, and relax.
Kite school
The IKO-certified kite school is right on Theologos beach and only about five minutes from the hotel. Lessons take place in a relaxed atmosphere with a clear focus on safety, individual learning, and time on the water. With the spot right next door, every session starts without transfers or detours – arrive, set up, kite.
